About This Place
5 Hills is an off-grid homestead on 6.5 hectares of remote, hilly land with no nearby houses and no light pollution. It is quiet, open and largely untouched.
Wildlife moves freely across the land. Birdlife is constant, and between August and October the deer mating season can be heard in the surrounding hills. Deer, wild pigs, foxes and rabbits all live on the property. The host, Alan, lives on the land and is happy to share local knowledge and do a small tour.
The camping area sits on higher ground, shaded by trees and naturally private, with long views and early morning light.

Swimming and canoe use are possible in spring and summer, depending on river conditions.
Pets
Pets are welcome but must be supervised at all times due to wildlife.
Fires
Fires are only allowed during the safe season. A fire pit is provided and wood can be purchased.

– Human waste must never be left behind. Use a portable toilet or a sealed waste bag and pack out all waste, including toilet paper and wipes.

– Fires are only allowed if this specific stay clearly states so. Never make new fire pits or burn directly on the ground.
– Keep noise low — these stays are for quiet, respectful travellers.
