The Hidden Clearing – Óbidos, Central Portugal
€25 per night (for the plot, includes 2 people)
Wild Stay – Raw, quiet forest clearing tucked away in nature
About This Place
Hidden just outside Óbidos, this secluded meadow sits at the base of a natural cliff and feels completely removed from the world.
The walk-in approach opens into a quiet, sheltered clearing surrounded by tall woodland and the sound of a small running spring. It’s a simple, raw, back-to-nature spot — the kind of place where you pitch a tent, listen to the forest settle at dusk, and wake to soft light filtering through the trees.
With no neighbours, no roads, and no footpaths, it’s a rare pocket of real privacy only minutes from one of Portugal’s most beautiful medieval towns.
