Wild Calm sits on a peaceful, wooded 4-hectare mountain in the hills of Northern Portugal. Private, quiet, and surrounded by trees and valley views, this is a place for slow mornings, fresh air and space to breathe.
You’ll have a flat, secluded spot for your van or tent, with walking paths and viewpoints right from your door. Pygmy goats live on the mountain, and there are gentle trails to nearby villages.
Cafés, restaurants and shops are just 10 minutes away, and lakes, river beaches and the Gerês mountains are all within easy reach. Your hosts live a short walk away, so you have privacy with support nearby if needed.

A fire pit is provided & wood to buy. Please only use this designated area and follow local fire guidelines. Gas stoves are always fine.
Animals
Pets are welcome but must stay supervised. There are goats, dogs, cats and a rabbit on the property – kept well away from the camping area.
Water
Drinking water is available at the hosts’ home. You’re welcome to refill as needed during your stay.
Privacy
Your hosts live on the property but around a 5-minute walk away. You’ll have full privacy with support nearby if required.

– Human waste must never be left behind. Use a portable toilet or a sealed waste bag and pack out all waste, including toilet paper and wipes.
– Do not cut or collect wood. Bring your own firewood if fires are allowed at this pitch.
– Fires are only allowed if this specific stay clearly states so. Never make new fire pits or burn directly on the ground.
– Keep noise low — these stays are for quiet, respectful travellers.
– Respect wildlife, livestock and any nearby neighbours.
