Good to Know
Parking & Access
The spot is reached by gravel track from Vila do Bispo. The track is usually suitable for most vehicles, but can become muddy after rain. Cows may sometimes be on or near the road.
The Stay
This is a simple wild meadow stay, best for self-contained guests who want space, quiet and easy access to the Algarve coast. The pitch is wide and easy to manoeuvre, with open skies and natural planting around the guest area.
Water & Services
There is no water and no toilet on site. Vila do Bispo is nearby and has camper services for filling and emptying water, plus supermarkets, a market, pharmacy, bank, health centre and fire station.
Fires & Cooking
No open flames are allowed at any time. This includes fire pits, disposable BBQs, charcoal BBQs and wood burning.
Shade & Summer
Shade is limited, especially in summer when the grass dries and the meadow becomes more golden and exposed. Bring shade if you want extra cover during the day.
Coastal Weather:
This part of the Algarve is often breezier than inland areas, with both the south and west coasts nearby. The wind can make summer days feel cooler and more comfortable, and it’s worth keeping in mind the sunny, dry and open nature of the landscape when planning your stay.
Beaches Nearby:
Praia do Barranco can be reached on foot in around 40 minutes, with Sagres, Praia do Zavial, Praia da Ingrina and the west coast beaches all within easy reach by car. The coastline is a big part of what makes this area so special, with plenty of options to explore nearby.
Wildlife & Quiet
This is a strong area for birdlife and small wildlife. Guests are asked to respect the quiet of the place and leave no human, animal or food waste behind.
